Preserving the Environment
Through providing three re-use stores across West Yorkshire, we are able to provide a positive contribution to preserving the environment. With our work, we are able to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill by re-using otherwise discarded items. Furthermore, it is estimated* that we reduce carbon emissions created in manufacturing items by over 40,000 kg each month which is the same as 480 tones per year. To put that in perspective, that’s the same as taking an average of 1,500 family cars off the road. *Calculated using the Reuse Network Impact Calculator.
Mindful Buying
Changing people’s mindsets is also an important step in helping to save the environment. We hope that by purchasing from one of our re-use stores, individuals will reconsider their spending habits and opt for quality second-hand items rather than unnecessarily purchasing new products. It is important to highlight that buy making a purchase at one of our shops, people are actively making the choice to shop more sustainably and ethically.
