SLATE (South Leeds Alternative Trading Enterprise)
SLATE provide work and training opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. It is important that people with learning and other disabilities have the same right to employment, training and volunteering as everyone else. They also help reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill by taking donated furniture and selling it in their feel good furniture shops.
SLATE are one of Revive Reuse CIC member charities. This means that a portion of our profits are distributed to them which supports the important work they conduct.
SLATE Feel Good Shops Across Leeds
They operate two feel good furniture shops across Leeds, one in Armley and one in Hunslet. Both offer a variety of furniture including desks, draws, wardrobes, mattresses', bedframes etc. They also run a Feel Good Café in Gipton, which offers delicious food and drink with both eat-in and takeaway options.
