Volunteering
Want to get involved with our work and help support the local community?
There are many different ways in which you'll be able to help Revive Leeds continue to generate money for our member charities, SLATE and St Vincent De Paul. We have a selection of different departments which you can help with including, books, bric-a-brac, clothing and more. Simply complete our online application form or pick-up and fill out a physical copy in person, from your local branch.
Benefits of Volunteering
For many people, volunteering is about giving something back to a charity that has helped them, but there are other ways that it can help you as well as the organisation. Some of these include:
Socialising - You will meet a new set of people, passionate about the work Revive Leeds conducts.
Interpersonal Communication Skills - Interacting with customers and staff will be part of your daily routine when volunteering with Revive Leeds. This give you the opportunity to greatly improve your communication skills and confidence, in a friendly work environment.
Work Experience - You will get first hand experience in the world of work, great for developing skills needed in the workplace and great experience for pursing future careers.
Supporting the Local Community - A big part of volunteering is to benefit your local community and giving back.
Fun - Importantly, volunteering is an enjoyable and rewarding experience. For many people it gives them something to do in their spare time which is both important and gratifying.
What Training will I get?
You will receive basic training and an introduction to our site. This will include our health and safety, policies and procedures. We also often give all our volunteers the opportunity to apply for courses. These courses could be anything from, Health & Safety, Professional Boundaries, PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and Bicycle Maintenance.
