Revive Leeds prides itself on being innovative and was the Reuse Network Innovative Business of the Year 2017. We're always looking at ways that we can encourage more people to reuse things and make unwanted items available to those that need them. We're currently working on two new projects that should go live in 2021.
Waste Electricals
The first of projects is a scheme to make it easier for people to reuse small electrical items. How many people do you know that have bought a new kettle simply because they've decorated the kitchen and it no longer matches, or a new phone just because they want a new one? Leeds City Council will be putting containers in easily accessible locations such as libraries, schools and sports centres to allow people to donate working small electrical items to Revive Leeds. New Shop
Over the last 10 years or so, Revive Reuse has been recognised as one of the leading reuse organisations of our type. We regularly host visits from local authorities around the country, demonstrating how a reuse shop can benefit them and the communities around them. Having worked with Huddersfield University on their Business Studies degree programme, helping students set up a Revive Pop-Up, we are in the final stages of planning a new permanent shop just outside the town. There are still some details to iron out, but we hope to start fitting out our first shop outside Leeds early next year. Click here to find out more about our new Huddersfield Shop.
